Don't take employment advice from someone who has been unemployed for over two years.

I haven't read the article because paywall, but a "what not do to do" from an unemployed person is probably quite relevant and valuable information.

Relying on the income from even more unreliable "career" options...

If you're serious about any vocations (including being a software developer), I doubt how helpful it is to spend energy on these side hustle.

These are great hobbies though, so I'd recommend spending time on these for fun and well-being if you like it.

Take this career advice from someone who can't get a job.
