Ask HN: Lead-gen tool for technical founders

We were looking for something that takes criteria (like hiring activity, tool stack, etc) as input and returns a list of high quality sales leads.

This became super important for us as our existing network (+ warm intros) quickly dried up. We’ve been doing it manually and tried several tools.

The closest thing we found was Clay, a general usage lead-gen tool that sell credits to enrich your data.

Here’s what we didn’t like:

1) It was hard to predict the value of credits in advance 2) We quickly used up all our credits inefficiently, and felt anxious watching the # of credits dwindle 3) We still spent time manually updating the table

All this didn’t really feel like a big leap thanks to AI, but more an incremental improvement.

Are we the only ones that feel this way? Or are there other tools that do this better that we haven’t found, yet?

Since my cofounder and I are both builders, we took a leap of faith and started building out our own solution. Here’s how it works:

1) You insert your search criteria (tool stack, hiring activity, company stage)

2) You get list of leads

Our current offer:

We want to help early, as we build out our tool. That’s why we’re offering 10 leads for free (for our learning, and hopefully your success).

Just give us your search criteria (ICP), and we send you a GSheet with 10 contacts (incl names, emails, companies, search properties as columns). Depending on demand, we'll do our best to get you the list within 48 hrs.

Looking forward to learning about your needs, and hopefully getting you new customers.
