I really hope no one would ask that question with a straight face. Hiring someone is not a small task and then onboarding them and overseeing their output is a ton of work as well (at least upfront).
"Can’t you just..."/"Why don't you just..." are phrase I've tried to stop using as I can't remember ever enjoying being on the receiving end of those questions, they have a smattering of condescension to them.
I wish Sacha the best of luck in future endeavors, shutting down or pausing something you started is such a hard decision and I hope this move improves their life.
