Can Apple Rescue the Vision Pro?

I did an in-store demo of the Vision Pro the other day and things look great for the most part. It's impressive, and everything it does is really interesting. Two things stood out to me.
First, it's HEAVY. The demo was 3 or 4 minutes long and I was already feeling it.
Second, I have no idea why I'd want to use a real computer like this. It looks like they're trying to sell it as a real work computer and entertainment device. But to me at least, it looks like a less good laptop/desktop and way overkill to replace a phone. It would be interesting to try at home if it was more like $1000, but I saw no reason at all to consider it for purchase at the current price.
I could see no problem it solved, or as a replacement for anything I already own. I'm not sure how that gets rescued by any changes other than making it cheap.
