I'd heard about this, and wondered how America squares it with its ridiculously large and expensive War on Terror.

It should be pretty clear after a two decades that it is a war on islam aligned unfriendly governments.

The US largely doesn't take internal Christian terror seriously.

And we certainly don't take rural whites acting recklessly with guns to be anything but the free expression of inalienable rights.
