It seems to me that every interview I've had lately, they come up with a reason to reassure me that they are going to use LLM's in their business somehow (even though I have absolutely not asked about that).
This is why it's a "hype wave" --- people are buying in and jumping on board (or least claiming so) without any clear reason.
Just a few years ago, it would have been blockchain.
