Show HN: I built a random meal plan generator to help my wife

platepickers.com

Hi HN!

I built this tool for my wife to save her the headache of meal planning. She finds it helpful and I think you might too.

Please check it out and let me know your thoughts.

Thanks!

Neat idea, keep up the good work. One crucial missing feature for me would be to automatically API-transfer the list of ingredients to my online shopping provider. If I have to keep open two lists on my screen and manually add all the ingredients into my shopping cart, then, that's a no go for me. Here in the UK, there are online services like https://www.gousto.co.uk which provide the whole package: meal plan, recipes and the selected ingredients, all neatly delivered to your door.

Thanks! That's a great idea; adding the ingredients to a shopping cart would definitely make it more helpful to users. Thanks for your feedback, I'll look into this feature.

Very nice, Im working on something similar: https://getweeklio.com

I like the overview of the plan with the ingredients each meal will take.

Good job!

Thanks! Your app looks great too.

Looks like we were both inspired by the same desire to make meal planning easier at home.

Hope your app is a success!
