Attempt to launch a $1 web links hosting project. Yes or Time waste
The other day I went around and was exploring some sites, all are good but something i wanted was my links to also say what they do, like a mini description but without the clutter, plus the itch to try and make my own plus I wanted a description of my links.
I went to linktree and saw selena gomez and pharell's linktree, thought I could make a project my own and help with hundred people up with V1.0, plus making it a Pay What You Can Model instead of forced paywalls. So no payment until you can/wish to, and after that it's $1/month.
Think of it more as a small project around my digital friends.
Im in final stages of first mvp, maybe a few more weeks before soft launch.
TLDR; Some features: - USP : links, but each with a description, so your users/potential buyers are guided better. - Minimalist : black and white template style. - 1 Profile Picture - upto 250 links per user [to your socials or stores or onlyfans, whatever] - limited signups due to the very nature of the business model and initial load capacity to keep costs low since its not any VC backed but just the guys who are gonna use it. - I will be adding more features, over time depending on mass feedback from its people and how they use it and their feedback in discord. (i like to call 'users' as 'people', coz people are using it not just any users)
Some things, as founder of this: - I want to keep it a small mini project, like with a few hundred users at best, catering and listening to them, coz i dont want to be a VC backed startup later down the road. - ATM, i've set up a discord, so if you're interested to try it out, please let me know in the comments. :D
My goal in mind is just to cater a 100 people, help them with their link organizations and a place they can host in simple and easy manner.
Q. Who is this for? R. In my mind, this is not for people who are already at 100k+ followers, but more who are my Struggling brothers and sisters, who i believe will make it one day, so everything is kinda free only tbh.
So, What do you guys think of it? Should I go with it or is it a time waste?
