Ask HN: I'm trying to build a $1 project
Q. Is this unique? R. No.
Q. So what's your project USP gonna be? - $1/Free (Pay What You Can model) - No Ads. No Tracks. - Host every link of yours in one place. CRUCIAL - Most important of all, I dont want to inject any google analytics to people's profiles, or any analytics for that matter coz yk data selling etc, so, No injected Analytics SDKs
Q. Whose your target audience? R. Any struggling content creator or artist or a small business shop. Yo buddy, I got you.
What's the closest competitor you have? Linktree is what comes to my mind, but I want to be on a very small scale because the business model doesnt allow to scale, so like a project around me and my digital/online friends.
Q. Why should I ever consider your over others? This is a project that was incepted keeping in mind to help atleast 100 people in matter of a year, but also i intend to generate and compete with huge companies, if that ever happen.
I am certain the project will die out sooner, but I still want to offer this service maybe help a person out or 2.
So, I want to do that while helping struggling people so I have NOT ENFORCED any payments to use this system, if you do good and can afford $1 for a month, you get 24*7 of my service for that price.
Q. Who is this NOT for? R. If you however have a following of greater than 100k, i would not recommend you chose to use something else coz this is only for small creators and upcoming small shops that cant do much digitally.
Q. How does it look like? R. A list of links, with your unique shop name or handle, that you can simply share with others.
Q. Is this going to be succesfull? R. IDK, you tell me..
--- Will launch within a few months. Soft launch will be sooner with 100 users (i like calling 'people' instead of 'users' of my project)
Goals with this project. 100 happy people.
I have a discord too set up for people, so if you're interested in being first 100 even before the launch, please lmk.
