This is a project I made for my toddler son when I found how many ads and interruptions have invaded Fruit Ninja. With Slice Tap Toy we can just focus on the simple catharsis of slicing flying pizzas!

I’m on mobile. While swiping I accidentally made a swipe back gesture and landed back at HN.

Feature request: launch items further from the edges, this should address this edge case.

That sounds like a marginal feature. :p

Awesome little toy! I feel like no discussion of slicing/dicing physics in games can be complete without mentioning the madness that was Metal Gear Rising: Revengence - https://youtu.be/EhScbQoaLFQ?t=53

Anyways, just a few more pizzas and then I'll be on my way. One more...

Serious question: I noticed that the logo has the Italian colors. On the surface, this could be a reference to the fact that the game has pizza. Digging a little deeper though, is this an Italo disco reference? Specifically, is it a reference to the song Slice me Nice by the artist Fancy (1985)?

None of the imagery on Discogs look like the logo [1], but that won't stop me from saying that this would be a deep dish deep cut

I was trying to mimic pizzeria decor!

Great work. Fireworks really reminds me of Missile Command.

Nice game, let him try another addictive toy: https://bubblespop.netlify.app

Very similar, I like it!

Nice. Despite the name "tap toy", swiping works well, which is significantly easier with a laptop trackpad than trying to click the pizzas.

yeah it's fun, first swipe often not slicing it though.
