I saw a lot of people angry at Google and wanted to turn off "AI Overview" feature. So I wrote a manual on how to do it for Chrome and Firefox, on mobile and desktop.

Show HN is for things you've made that others can try, it excludes most reading material. Take a look at https://news.ycombinator.com/showhn.html

It's not just a reading material. I made a website with OpenSearch file that allows you to add a custom search engine to mobile Chrome and Firefox. Take a look in the source code of the page, it's in the <head> section.

> Click on the three dots menu in the address bar and choose "Add a search engine".

I don't think I have this. Could you add a screenshot?

Firefox, right? I will check if my version is the latest and upload the screenshot on the website. In the meanwhile, kindly check this out: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-or-remove-search-en...

Aha, yep - it wasn't three dots, it was another icon in the list of "try search using..." that had a small green plus over it.
