Why Elon Musk fired the entire Tesla Supercharger staff

I suspect the Psychoanalytic defence mechanism "Displacement"

scenario:

He has a small argument with the girlfriend.

He gets angry but is scared that if he shows his anger she will dump him.

This is where displacment comes in.

To relieve himself of the anger he then offloads that anger onto some innocent victims, in this case the supercharger engineers.

Extremely unlikely that a narcissist like Lone Smuk would have enough self awareness to see it coming.

Just like getting berated by your boss for being late for work, even though you are not in control of the train timetable or striking railway workers. You have no power to confront him, he may sack you. So you give the cat a boot up the arse, slap the kids or beat your wife when you get home. Anger displaced.

The day before the mass firings, Tesla charging chief Rebecca Tinucci met with Elon Musk about the charging network's future.

Tinucci had recently cut 15-20% of Supercharger staff as part of wider Tesla layoffs.

In the meeting, Musk was displeased with Tinucci's presentation and wanted more layoffs. When Tinucci pushed back, saying deeper cuts would undermine the charging business, Musk fired her and her entire 500-member team.
