Presumably the M4 in the iPad is throttled somewhat because of the power envelope it has to work with. I'm assuming that the inevitable M4 MBP will perform a bit better, with the larger battery power and significantly better cooling options on the laptop.

Presumably there will also be M4-Pro and even M4-Max. I'd really love to see an M4-Ultra though - my Ultra-1 is showing me that if you stack enough 26MP images from the telescope, even one of those will struggle a bit. It'd be nice to get back into the "contemptuously spat the results back at me immediately" phase [grin]
