What schools have impressed you?

I have a teen son thinking about college soon. I've been around alot of smart people, great developers, terrible developers. What school (proxied via people who you worked with) has impressed you the most?

for me, it seems MIT has the most competent engineers. Harvard/yale talks more than works. Haven't really seen many from Princeton out in the world. Stanford doesn't last, always leaving to go do something else.

no stories. just names. also if your going to complain about a simple answer, go do it in the bathroom looking at the mirror.
