Show HN: We made a Mac app to fix writing and speed up communication with GPT-4

Hey HN,

As software engineers, me and my friend Dan notice the challenges & time consumption in communication, especially in tone, wording, and spelling.

To tackle this, we built Steer—a macOS app that uses GPT-4 to improve any text, in any app with a simple shortcut.

Steer corrects grammar, word ordering and tricky wording. “The error message, I am not understanding it.” becomes “I don't understand this error message.”. It saves a ton of time & mental effort. It also adapts tone of voice to the app you’re in—professional in email, more direct in Slack.
