But this is not a "Freedom of Expression" issue, or a First Amendment violation.
The United States Constitution holds that no law may limit the right of peaceful assembly or freedom to express opinions. There are limits on speech or expression that harms others.
I am not a lawyer and don't have any familiarity with California labor law. Employees fired by Google as a consequence of staging demonstrations on employer property... well.
It does call attention to the cause.
Is it unlawful termination?
