Barcelona bus route removed from map apps to tackle tourist overcrowding

I remember being in Lisbon when there were transport worker strikes. Somehow the buses/trams I wanted still came, maybe less regularly (I didn't know since I'm not a local). But googling for a "current" route would give me obscure instructions like "Walk many kms to the train station" (trains were still running). But if I changed my departure date to several months in the future on Google Maps it would tell me the regular (strike-free) route and to go around the corner and wait for bus number xyz. I wonder if the Barcelonans could just say the bus 116 is on strike until 2099 or similar...
