But there's so much MS baggage and MBA bullshittery that it's a headache to use--and that's even if you're targeting windows solely.

One other thing: To get the most out of csharp you want to use visual studio. Yes there are good extensions for vscode but they are so inferior in every way to the VS experience that it's kind of pointless.
VS has these really great tools but it's a hulking buggy proprietary, paid for, colossus. I don't even know what it's like to use on macos, I never even bothered (I imagine it's even worse than windows).
So great language, but the experience in practice is hampered by the MBAs at MS (and it'll never, ever, get better because of that).
