Are YC Acceptances Out

met with a founder who says he got into yc a few weeks ago. Is this possible? Thought it might be part of YCs early interviews for their request for startups

YC is not a university, they can get people they like in whenever they want.

Why can’t a university do that too?

Because a university has an academic calendar that they adhere to?

I am sure they could let people in late to a course if that student can find a way to catch up.

Minimum hours prevent this.

This is built in. My university had an academic census date. After that date, you are unable to take on or drop any courses. This is probably the same for other universities.

sometimes if you submit early you get acceptance and rejections early.

i got rejections early last season. haventcapplied this season yet, maybe at 22.

It's 2024 now.

i meant at april 22 (yc s24 application deadline) haha.
