Cowards. I'm not a fan of the formulaic silly naming conventions that internet tends to gravitate to, but if you're going to run a contest, you should honor the result.
I think around 2008 was when the —y Mc— pattern came about (I remember referring to John McCain as Mavericky McMaverick). I use it with my kids these days and it gets expanded even further, e.g., Grumpy McGrumplestein from Grumplevania.
