Power your kitchen appliances from your induction cooktop

So this came across the wire. It is an interesting standard which adds an NFC capability to an inductive cooktop to turn on power for an appliance set on top of the cooktop.

Me, I'm thinking hmm, looks like we could make a fully NEBS sealed outlet (imagine the inductor on the side of a "slot". Stick the plug in and voila, power delivery. Would be an interesting way to build things in an otherwise hostile environment to plugging things in and out.
