Show HN: I created a girl generator AI tool

I made https://girlgenerator.online

My wife is an elementary school English teacher, and she often needs cute images for her PowerPoint presentations.

However, finding the right images to match her themes can be quite challenging at times.

So, I took it upon myself to help out with this task, and soon realized that searching for specific images could be quite time-consuming.

I thought to myself, how great it would be to have a handy tool that could quickly and reliably generate the desired images.

That's why I developed the Girl Generator, an AI-powered website that creates images from text descriptions.

But, I can't let my wife use this website just yet, as sometimes the models might generate images that are not suitable for children .

I hope this tool can be helpful to you as well, especially if you find yourself in a similar situation.

NSFW warning.

The first few demo images are merely creepy but get increasingly NSFW as you scroll down.

The semi-wholesome text intro provided by the OP and the inclusion of other random images (a woman and some pigs in the collapsed building aftermath of an earthquake appears more than once) makes me assume (hope?) that, despite the creepy URL, it might just be another generative AI mishap.

I'm very sorry for the inconvenience caused! Currently, the website displays user-generated images, showcasing the most recent 50 images uploaded by users.

Due to the nature of the models, some are prone to generating NSFW (Not Safe For Work) type images.

I will think about how to best control this issue moving forward. I apologize again for any inconvenience this may have caused. At the same time, I appreciate your feedback, support, and understanding.

how about ... do not share user-uploaded images, to start!

Or put an age-verifier in front of the site

I'm very sorry for any inconvenience caused! I will accelerate the development pace and implement restrictions.

User-generated images will, by default, not be made public or won't be displayed on the homepage. They will only be made public after meeting certain criteria, and of course, this will primarily depend on whether the user wants them to be public.

Thank you for your feedback and for your understanding and support!

I think this site has some promise ... but I cannot load it anywhere near my family, coworkers, etc right now!

Thank you very much for your encouragement and support! It means a lot to me.

Tomorrow, I will move user-generated images to a dedicated page, which will require clicking through to view.

The homepage of the website will no longer display images generated by other users. This should somewhat resolve the issue of not being able to load the site in public places.

That was me. I did the post-apocolypse female banker pig images.

You can view a slideshow of the gems here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTW2BzdsiOU

[NSFW] warning. Don't show it to your kids, but as an adult that can wrap their head around the idea of a greedy filthy female version of Gorden Gecko, you should be able to handle it. It's just art.

EDIT: I saw the highly sexualized images someone else was making, so yeah, there really is no safety rails on the generative possibilities that I noticed.

Beyond "NSFW" warning!

The first 20 images (when I loaded it a minute ago) are REMARKABLY inappropriate!

Worse than hentai

Hello, I have already responded to you above. Next, I will quickly add a registration and login feature.

This way, user-generated images will by default only be visible to the user themselves and will not be made public by default.

Even if a user wants them to be 'public' ... probably need some kind of warning that images may (or, probably, are likely to) be NSFW :)

You're right, I've also thought about this issue.

I think if users want to make their images public, then they should go through some restrictive measures, such as requiring more than 80% of user agreement (with at least 10 users participating in the vote).

If the support rate for an image later falls below 80%, then that image will enter the voting phase again.

There will be a dedicated voting page for users, so if other users do not participate in the voting, they will not be able to see the image.

I recommend you take this offline IMMEDIATELY until you get it in a safe form - I just saw images that can only be categorized as paedophilic in nature.. not exaggerating, i'm talking 5 year old here

I'm very sorry that you saw those inappropriate images; they should no longer be visible now.

The homepage of the website will no longer display images generated by other users; instead, images are shown on a separate page.

I know this doesn't solve the fundamental issue, but I will address this inappropriate problem as soon as possible. Thank you again for your feedback!

The author should pivot to NSFW scene. I think the product is accidentally good on something.

Thank you for your feedback. I hadn't considered pivoting to NSFW content; that wasn't my original intention. I will address the NSFW issue as soon as possible.

It seems my post has been penalized by HN, as I can no longer see it in Show.
