Meta's Only Slightly Better Than Burning Books Plan

Where's FOSS for books? Outside CC docs I don't see it around. Time needed for a large software project is easily more than a novel.

Instead authors typically sell through copyright maximalist proprietary publishers who take their cut keeping the author dream of riches alive.

Yes the AI companies are philistine barbarians at the gate. But in comparison to FOSS where people strive tp empower others, aren't authors greedy and naive expecting exveptionalism?
