I like that it doesn't have tons of baked in data types, and the ability to add properties to a node almost makes it seems like a good DSL base.
For config files, I really don't want to be hand editing anything that doesn't fit in INI or TOML well. I'm a big fan of the flat is better than nested concept(It's one thing that I don't like about Nix).
For data serialization, I like JSON and YAML. Keep it simple and common and don't make people install new IDE plugins if they have to look at it.
But I could see some good use cases for this.
