I always want people to tell me what they think brutalism means. I feel like it's one of those words that people just use to mean a lot of different things, some that I would not expect. I'm not even saying you can't do that, just tell me what it means to you so I can calibrate.

It seems to be a trend. Honestly, brutalist.report is my daily driver now and my preferred gateway into HN and many other news sites that I frequent. (not that HN is bad, just now there's a similar aggregator)

I think I am pleased with a definition of brutalism on the web that equates to "does not load a pile of JS, autoplay videos, trash, and tracking -- and just sets up a quick, clean, bunch of links to consider" -- if this is where we are heading , I'm pro-brutalism. :)

This is exactly what I was going for, practicality over dogmatism

Maybe article should link directly to that. I'm all for quirky and interesting design, unlike some in these parts, but it is too glitchy and uncomfortable for me.
