seriousness though—pretty mild use of data profiling. unlike most other data brokering nowadays, one couldn't be reasonably surprised that a revolving creditor processes (hopefully only) the most basic purchasing history of its customers. and i'm just as content to receive nominal discounts on the stuff i'm already buying as the next profile.
and yup. or even better, any ol' payment processor-processed card (e.g., Visa or Mastercard processed 'gift cards') purchased with cash or other accepted currency. card retailer with dodgy surveillance optional.
