Ask HN: Would you offer a discount on your product for a backlink?

I provide a web based service and I am considering offering my product at a discount (or free) to my customers for giving me a backlink on their site. Do any of you do this and would you consider this buying a backlink or am I just rewarding my customers loyalty?
