Really doesn't matter how long these guys are unprofitable. The Chinese government has its strategic priorities.
If you look at Chinese car companies, many don't even really make much of an effort to sell in other markets. The goal is to own the Chinese market. One, because employment and knock on effect employment. And two, because that's where they're betting the money will be.
They may even be right. But the future may not be all about money. We're entering an era that has the potential to be different than eras that came before.
