Tradies, Nurses, heavy equipment operators, bunch of categories: https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-zealand-visas/preparing-...
https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-zealand-visas/visas/visa... Says "Length of stay: Indefinitely, Age range: 55 or younger, Cost: From NZD $4290, With this visa you can Live, work and study in New Zealand. Include your partner and dependent children aged 24 or younger in your visa application.".
Maybe a long shot but worth considering.
Still an okay place to bring up kids, particularly in small town NZ (<5000).
Working class poor people who meet and marry migrants below the naturalisation income threshold are still contributing to the economy. As are their partners. It would be wrong to assume they're only a net burden on the economy. We need ancillary care nurses, cleaners, drivers, store packers, all kinds of workers. Why shouldn't they be foreigners who marry a local?
The UK policy is massively counter productive.
The truth is, they need immigrants, which is why our immigration figures are the highest they've ever been, despite them being in power for 14 years. But they have to pretend to be "tough" on immigration for the hard of thinking (i.e. their voters).
