I have been intrigued by this problem for a long time. In Michigan potholes are a huge everyday problem. Part of it is the state raided part of the gas tax for other things leading to a massive disinvestment in roads. I am not at all certain if this U.K. solution would work in Michigan with its extreme freeze and thaw cycles but I'd sure like to see them try.
Without watching the video, how fast does this vehicle travel and analyze at the same time?
The video doesn't give an exact speed but watching it in operation it is clear it moves pretty slowly. However street cleaning machines go less than ten miles an hour, they just run them in the early morning hours when traffic is light and I suspect that is the case here.
