The title of that post, “Redis Renamed to Redict” is absolutely correct.
Redis is forking into a new direction, redict is the true continuation of the project.
The article mistakenly called the CEO of Redis "Redis Trollope" instead of "Rowan Trollope" and I found this quite amusing.

I've done worse... Thanks for flagging.
Even though I didn't really mind the change to the SSPL, these new additions to Redis sound like tons of bloat. I hope Redict does well, I'll be switching everything over to it.
That’s the thing- sure there are always edge case bugs, but Redis seems pretty feature complete. It is really fast and does what it says on the tin. Unless a CVE is discovered, would I be missing much if I continued to use the latest release for the next N years?
What does "RocksDB compatible" mean? Does it mean API compatibility or that the data previously stored in RocksDB is still accessible?
