Feels, on the whole, like raging against git because of the crappy porcelain syntax (way-overloaded checkout statement, etc). Won't help, too entreenched; frankly, just too good to be replaced over that. Same with the relational model / SQL.
Difference, though: Git is improving (switch statement, etc). So OK, the front-end SQL language could use some improvements... But I doubt it'll happen.
