As a newcomer to the world of independent development, a few days ago, after completing my first project, I wanted to promote it. However, I struggled to find a comprehensive list where I could submit my product. So, I decided to create one myself. The goal is simple: to maintain a comprehensive resource list for product submissions and keep it regularly updated. If you're in the same boat and need such a resource, feel free to join me on this journey!

I was wondering what would be the best way to post on HN or another platform a kind of a blueprint for an idea?

I'm in the ideation/design phase of a nylon-based linear actuator project and would love to gather some feedback from people (semi)-related to any adjacent fields that could give some additional feedback on the theoretical/practical side of the product.

I guess it would fit "Ask HN" best, right?

Alternatively, I think you could try r/SideProject

Nice, thanks, didn't know this one!

EE here, happy to provide feedback.

Missing these:

• The Linux Software Map: <https://lsm.qqx.org/>

• Freshcode (spiritual successor to Freshmeat) <http://freshcode.club/>

Take a look at https://news.ycombinator.com/showhn.html

Show HN is for something you've made other people can try so lists can't be Show HN's.

I only posted the link to the repo, which contains a functional website that I created.

This is awesome....do you know if there's any open source directory software out there? I'd like to run my own directory.

If you want to make your own directory, perhaps you can take a look at this project to see if it's helpful. https://github.com/liu-ziting/AI-web

Curious - why are the text un-selectable on the website? Is this because of Astro or did you intentionally do it?

Tested on Chrome and Safari.

I'm not entirely sure, but I guess it might be because I added a background in the hero using Tailwind CSS

so ... you are looking for a free and unbiased marketing channel?

Nice job!
