Ask HN: What Happened to Conversational Interfaces?
And there was alot of talk about having "conversational" UIs replacing traditional apps. (Note that I am not talking about AI hyped Chat bots)
An example for instance is that instead of a user having to open a fully fledged Uber app.
They would just simply open up messenger and type a command like /book-ride and then fill in details for their cars to arrive i.e all with in a messaging app.
I see some apps are built on telegram this way. But this seems to be something that Facebook has given up on.
WhatsApp is a great product but it seems to not be based heavily on thies philosophy.
What interesting realisations to you think we're missed from the low adoption of this "conversational UI" paradigm?
There used to be so many articles talking about this, but I can find any as of now. If you can find some resources I would be very grateful to hear about them.
