Show HN: I made a tool to transform Newsletters into Podcasts

podletter.io

I'm excited to share Podletter, a project born from my struggle to keep up with my overflowing inbox of newsletters. The idea? To transform this content into audio, making it accessible on the go.

What sets Podletter apart is its simplicity. With just a few clicks, users can listen to their favorite newsletters as podcasts, making it easier than ever to stay informed, learn, or just be entertained without the need to stare at a screen.

You can try it out directly on Podletter.io

Looking forward to your thoughts and feedback!

Really nicely designed. I initially thought it was a tool for newsletter publishers but the step-by-step explained it well.

The pricing does seem a little steep in terms of the number of conversions per month. At the low end (basic, monthly) it's $0.90 per conversion, but even on yearly essential it's $0.66

The main call-to-action button says 'Start listening - it's free!' but then the pricing details don't include any information about a free tier or trial

It looks like you need to listen via the website, is that true? Ideally I'd get a private RSS feed (options for one per newsletter or a combined feed) that I could use in whatever podcast app I wanted

Hey Matt!

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide such detailed and thoughtful feedback.

Design & Clarity: I’m glad the step-by-step guide helped clarify Podletter’s purpose. I’ll strive for even clearer initial communication, and maybe change the hero section. What do you think?

Pricing: Your point about the pricing resonates with me. I’m actively reviewing our pricing structure to ensure it aligns better with the value we offer and is accessible.

Free Tier: The 'Start listening - it's free!' CTA should indeed be clearer. I’ll make sure to update the pricing details to better communicate any free tier or trial availability. Maybe create a Free Trial card?

Listening Options: The suggestion for private RSS feeds is great. I’m looking into adding this feature for enhanced usability and flexibility.

Thanks again for everything :)

If you're looking for a mobile first, cheaper option, check out Jellypod (https://jellypod.ai/)

It has custom RSS feeds, a 100% free plan, automatic daily podcast creations, and a bunch more. You get 30+ podcasts per month!

I'd love to have it the other way round: a tool to transform Podcasts into Newsletters

For sure! It would be great to have this as a feature, but for now, I'm focusing on the other way around.

Thanks for the feedback :)

This looks cool feel free to add it on superlative.tools
