The concept of hate speech is simply the governments way of getting its foot in the door of censorship. Canada (and likely the UK) will have stricter speech laws in a few years than most of the dictatorships and illiberal democracies that the free West was supposedly a bastion against. Pre-crime imprisonment for speech will become a regular occurrence for any kinds of dissidents in these places.
