I even have inspec profiles to test everything and it even supports windows (agones is teaching kubernetes to run gameservers so Windows and Gameservers is common)
Honestly I spent a good chunk of a month working on it, if there is any actual interest I could release it but I dont think anyone has the same problems I do.
But now I'm moving more into using atomic server OS so I'm doing everything in one Terraform repo with ignition (or cloudinit).
Or the expensive way, which is also the hard way.
Does bring back memories of working with Docker in the early days though.
IIRC, Ansible, unlike Puppet or Salt, didn't require anything particular provisioned on the server - just old good SSH.
I starred this awhile back, it’s the really hard way imo, really great for learning: https://github.com/ghik/kubernetes-the-harder-way
