Driverless cars were always a pipe dream, something to look up to. They basically require an AGI , which we might have soon
I must've be n dreaming about the rides I've taken in a Waymo recently in Phoenix then. Driverless cars aren't for every situation, but they're very capable and safe in many situations already. I'm personally very excited about a technology that makes transportation more available and safer for all road users.

That number is way too high. Car accidents from human drivers happen way more frequently than that.
1.5 deaths per 100,000,000 vehicle miles driven in the USA, so I'm not that that far off (depends on occupancy and average trip length)
