Kudos to the HN crowd for first informing me about the whole Spirit Aerosystems "financial black magic" in the first place. I'd have to search for the comment, but when the door blew out on that flight recently there was some good comments about how the original spinout of Spirit from Boeing was the highlight of private equity "suck it dry" financial nonsense.
