I rarely remember more than a handful of details of dreams throughout an entire year, but if I make an effort, it does seem to come easier.
Interesting how foxes were already considered tricksters in the 2nd century AD.
They are solitary, can't take any other predator in a fight, and have a cry that sounds like a child in distress.
It's not some arbitrary symbolic meaning assigned to the creature, it's their essence understood from a human perspective.
But I've not heard foxes in the UK make a sound like you describe.
