Surely you shouldn't have to install guix and info-reader just for this. SICP in info format (just a text file) has been available for many years from several sites (use any search engine). Then you can just read it in emacs, which is already installed in many Unix-like systems including many Linux distros and Mac OS X.
I agree that there are other, possibly easier, ways to read SICP. But I just discovered that it was available as a Guix package when I was setting up Guix on my system, so I thought I’d share this cool little tidbit. :)
