Microsoft: Feels Desperate Now

Desperate? To me it feels like they are challenging us, asking with a grin "watchu gonna do about it?" And the answer is "nothing".

After many Windows-less years, a few weeks ago I got myself a cheap Chinese windows tablet from amazon (it was a steal for the price). I installed Linux right away, but I kept the preinstalled Win11 Home, to grab some firmware files missing from Linux. I was horrified over the abuse that Windows was doing! I haven't used it since Win7 era, and it was truly astounding. Ads over ads, popups every few minutes, forced surprise-reboots all over the place, mandatory virus scan hogging the machine for an hour or so... I thought it was just a meme... Anyway /rant
