Blue-State Residents Streamed into South Carolina. Here's Why It Stayed Ruby Red

I read a similar article a few years ago about Californians moving to Idaho. Californians were making Idaho even more red, because the ones that are moving are self-selected to be conservatives.

I'm sure that's true but quicklu appears to be more than a few years. The flight from blue states has been going on for almost a decade and probably more:
