Isn't the bar for companies to get into the AI world low enough and the tech gap narrow enough, that it almost makes no sense for the OpenAI's 100bn valuation?

First mover advantage and broad (mainstream, even) name recognition and already vested interests all go a long way.

That, and all valuations are subjective.
