Tell HN: Google mobile web's "ask a follow up question" UX is annoying
On iOS mobile web, if you Google something, and then you tap on the Google search box (not the Safari search box), it will automatically scroll you down to the "Ask a follow up question" AI box.
It hijacks the normal Google search box and scrolls you down automatically. Basically, Google is forcing you to use its AI rather than its search.
I can't believe Google would allow this UX dark pattern. How the mighty has fallen.
