Whats currently happening in the OpenPGP world and where can I find some great resources?

PGP is a bad idea and nothing good is happening there. Please move on.

Would be great if you have suggestions. I'm sure there are others interested.

For file encryption I've heard good things about age. I'm not sure what a good tool for file signing is. Email encryption/authentication is unsolvable.

That thread suggests (I'm not an expert) there seems to be a problem (with 'age') of overwriting files if you have the public key.
