Uber Serves over 40M Reads per Second from Online Storage

Seems pretty straightforward.

It's too bad there isn't direct redis integration into the database. Everyone always has to write their own method of doing that.

Did they reduce the query cache size in mysql, since redis essentially became the query cache? Just curious.
