Ask HN: Good platform to sell e-book as a website?
but as I'm writing it, I realize that these formats are not very ideal for a technical book.
First, many things can be easily referenced using hyper links, but once printed or published to kindle, visiting the source web pages is not that easy.
Second, many thing can be better explained in animations. these medium don't support them well.
Third, a website can be updated at anytime to adopt the latest developments happening or make corrections. Traditional e-books/printed books can't do that.
Finally, a website can benefit from SEO for better discoverability and a website can also have an integrated communication channel for the readers to talk to the authors.
is there a good platform to publish e-book as a website with a payment mechanism and handling sales tax?
