Makes me think of Rimworld, out here growing brice and harvesting it for steaks. Or ranching ricalo's and slaughtering them for piles of rice.

Also, beefrice would get confused with beefries, the future hybrid of beef cells grown within fries :-)

That's better than 'reef'.

Mostly because "reef" is already a word that means something, and coincidentally a word that's also used in combination with "beef" - "beef and reef", aka "surf and turf"; a steak served with prawns in garlic cream sauce.
