A Libertarian Gets Mugged

I wonder if the author noticed the same conflict in their piece as I did:

It seems like the thing the author is placing the greatest level of hope in is exactly the part that was ineffective at prevention (which I can understand) and ineffective or unresponsive after the fact.

I like the article, and I agree with the conclusion; I don't like that the title is click-bait.

if the justification for paying taxes is having a government and police, why pay them if you're getting robbed with no recourse and the government itself breaks the law on the daily anyway?

i'm no libertarian but it's kind of tiring to see these lowest effort, lowest level of understanding of libertarianism/socialism/what have you "takedowns"...
